High school diploma required?
Yes.

Educational requirements:
40 hours for the Residential, 50 hours for the general or 60 hours for the Master Inspector — classroom format.

Recommended education:
State approved school.

Additional recommended education:
Carson Dunlop Home Inspection Training Program.

Examination required:
State examination.

Insurance required?
$100,000 of Errors and Omissions Insurance and $100,000 of General Liability insurance.

Continuing education required?
20 hours every two years.

Experience required?
25 inspections.
